UNIT INFORMATION:

  • This contest features a double-length interval for all Percussion and Winds units to allow those judges/clinicians time to go down onto the court and work with the students and staff. Please remain quiet and respectful as they are communicating with everyone on the court.

  • Earliest Arrival Time: 9:00 AM

  • Sound check for winterguards will start at 10am. Sound check can also occur during any open interval. Please attend sound check to ensure the proper sound levels for your performance.

  • There will be no minimum timing penalties for this contest. This includes minimum performance time and authorized equipment time. Minimum timing penalties will go into effect beginning at the March 2nd contest. 

  • All Units must have uploaded their Membership Certification Form in Competition Suite and paid their registration fees to be eligible to perform.

  • Reminder to have updated your Spiel Info in Competition Suite by the Wednesday before the event. 

  • All Units must have updated Emergency Contact Info in Competition Suite by the Wednesday before the event.

  • Guards: Reminder to have your Performance Music files uploaded into Competition Suite by the Wednesday before the event. 

  • This event uses a horizontal timeline. Enter back side 2 and exit front side 2.

  • There will be a judges critique after the contest for all guard units that sign up for critique. You must sign up for critique in Competition Suite by two Wednesdays before the contest. 

UNIT CREDENTIALS:

  • Performers with contest issued wristbands have complimentary seating.

  • Additional seating for floor/prop crew beyond the provided 7 will purchase a regular admission ticket.

  • Unit Directors/Staff complimentary with issued 2024 AMAA Unit Director Badge; regular admission without badge. 

    • When you receive your 2024 AMAA badge at your first contest, you will need to bring it to every contest you attend.

  • School Administrators, Band Directors, Bus Drivers are complimentary with their school issued ID.

  • Spectator admission is $10.00.

  • Children 5 and under are free.

  • Unit Directors are free with their 2024 AMAA Unit Director Badge; you will need to purchase a regular admission ticket if you do not have a 2024 AMAA Unit Director Badge or an appropriate wristband. 

  • School Administrators, Band Directors, Bus Drivers are complimentary with their school issued ID.
